A systematic review of the evidence base for developing a physical activity and health legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Four questions were established for the review addressing, in relation to the Olympic Games, sports events and sports franchises:

  1. Outcomes relating to physical activity, sport and health.
  2. Processes relating to:
    • (a) physical activity, sport and health
    • (b) other sectors such as volunteering, spectating, tourism and consumer behaviour
  3. Evaluation approaches used across all sectors.
  4. Media strategies to leverage opportunities in all sectors.
