Destigmatization of eSports through entrepreneurial action (2014)
This thesis discusses how entrepreneurs in eSports gain legitimacy in a stigmatized environment and analyses the impact their actions and efforts have in destigmatizing this industry. It argues that entrepreneurial action and efforts can lead to the destigmatization of an industry and asses this process through the lens of legitimacy theory. This study contributes to the theory development on the interrelationship between destigmatization and entrepreneurship.
