Leisure and human development (2000)

Coinciding with the 700th anniversary of the founding of the city of Bilbao, the University of Deusto and World Leisure (WLRA) have organised the 6th World Leisure Congress in the city under the title ‘Leisure and human development’. This book contains the different proposals and papers presented by experts, who have studied leisure from many different viewpoints. The question which was posed to them was: how can leisure contribute to human development? The answers cover the following areas: creative leisure, unemployment, cultures, lifestyle, leisure education, aging people and human development, personal development, sport, adolescents, sport and the Internet.
