Sports development is an important emerging field of academic study with a distinct contribution to make to wider social, cultural, economic and education policies and practices. The book provides a guide to all aspects of the subject. The course text examines the roles of those working in and around sport development and explores how professionals can devise better and more effective ways of promoting interest, participation or performance in sport.
