proceedings of the 3rd EASS conference (European Association for Sociology of Sport) held on 2-5 july 2006 in Jyväskylä, Finland
Sport culture is in a continual state of change. All sectors of society have experienced large reforms in past years and yet the connections between the three sectors remain. This situation poses many challenges for the field of sport sociology. “The Changing Role of Public, Civic and Private Sectors in Sport Culture” contains selected papers from the 3rd EASS (European Association of Sport) Conference. The principal themes of the proceedings are sport, body, ethics, education, civil society and sports organizations. The included articles add to the growing current discussion of sport sociology.
